TROPICAL GARDEN with BOUGAINVILLIA OVERHANG 16' by 12'

A pre-existing slate wall fountain lends the sounds of a waterfall to this lush mural. Another feature is the overhanging flower garden painted on masonite with a scroll cut lower edge. This allows removal if future needs call for it. Saratoga, CA 2013

50's DINER, TWO PART MURAL 8' by 8'

Created for a food products trade show, this was created with a computer program that allows unlimited enlargement with crisp edges. A mural created this way can be customized in unlimited ways, such as changing the name in neon for instance. This technique is great for hard edge subject matter, or a more graphic style of depiction. Any favorite image can be created, from cars to cartoon characters.

After final approval of the art, the file is sent to be printed on vinyl. It can be simply hung or laminated to a wall.

RIBBON SUNSET, interior residential mural, 16' by 12'.

The new owners had this huge wall to decorate, with little direction to go on. They didn't want a figurative mural so I suggested the ribbon concept and they added the sunset idea. This technique requires lots of masking and spraying, so all nearby surfaces are carefully protected first. Soquel, CA 2012

METALLIC GOLD RIBBONS, 12' X 8'

The interior designer of a new radiology clinic wanted an abstract soothing image to carry the eye away from all the high tech equipment, and we came up with this mural. Airbrushed with metallic acrylics, the ribbons shimmer realistically and the carefully rendered shadows give the illusion of dimension. Santa Cruz, CA 2011.

UNDERSEA FANTASIA, TWO PART MURAL 3' by 6' each

Painting a mural in the studio on masonite panels is convenient for all concerned, and makes for a nice surprise when it is installed. This also allows the client to remove and take the mural to a new location if desired. This dental clinic wanted to sweeten the atmosphere in the childrens wing, and liked my street box murals. Santa Cruz, CA 2011

The panels are mounted on equipment islands in the pediatric area.

CHILDRENS AREA MURAL, from "UP", 4' BY 7'

This pediatric clinic requested the balloon house from the movie "UP", but they wanted it removeable. Painted on masonite and carefully varnished for protection from little hands, the shape is scroll cut and the house is suspended on strings. Mountain View, CA 2010

CHILDREN'S ROOM, from "CARS" 5' by 3'

An obsession with the movie "CARS" led to this airbrushed rendering of a scene from the movie. Painted on masonite, varnished and scroll cut, this is easily removed if desired. Soquel, CA 2011

CLOUD CEILING, 4' by 4'

This uniquely shaped room required a removeable ceiling, so the carpenter provided the panels and I painted the clouds on them. Carefully color-matched to the wall color. Cloud ceilings are a favorite subject of mine. Santa Cruz, CA 2010
